Uneek Jewelry Founder & Designer Benjamin Javajeri Wins Big at the AGTA Spectrum Awards
Benjamin Javajeri, Uneek founder and designer, received the Platinum Honors Classical award at the 2018 American Gem Trade Association Spectrum Awards, one of the biggest jewelry and colored gemstone competitions in the world.
The award-winning piece is a member of our Royal Blue collection and features an oval-cut sapphire center with a diamond halo, epaulette diamond side stones and a curvy “Silhouette” pave double shank made of platinum.
This honor is one of many among the Platinum Honors Award, which “recognizes the outstanding use of platinum in colored gemstone and/or pearl jewelry in the five AGTA Spectrum Awards
categories, three Platinum Innovation categories and for the Best Use of Color and Platinum,” according to the AGTA Spectrum Awards site.
The AGTA Spectrum Awards has been a prestigious creative competition for the colored gemstone and cultured pearl industry for over 40 years, and a panel of experts honors designers and pieces that exhibit exquisite innovation, quality, craftsmanship and beauty.
These are, not surprisingly, the standards at which Javajeri uses when crafting each Uneek piece. The Royal Blue Collection that the honored ring belongs to is comprised of an array of rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces made with most breathtaking sapphires — and diamonds — that Javaheri can get his hands on.
Though most of these pieces carry a modern classic aesthetic, you can find vintage-inspired pieces within the collection as well. The rings are meant to be versatile. Wear them as right-hand rings or as alternative engagement rings — it’s all up to your taste and your style.
